Picual (imported from Australia) is a medium bodied and medium flavored oil with a classic Spanish taste and texture. This oil has a sweet buttery flavor and a nice ripe tomato aroma when warmed. It is a very good choice for sauce making, and whenever a bit more flavor is desired.

Not to mention, Picual is also a well balanced all purpose oil, and is a great counterpart to the more flavorful Balsamic Vinegars. This oil is excellent on salads and in sauces. As a dipper, it will go well with grated cheese and dipping spices.

Plus, this oil contains the highest oleic acid content than any of our other oils. Monounsaturated fatty acids, which contain oleic acid, control LDL (Bad Cholesterol) levels while raising HDL (Good Cholesterol) levels.

No other naturally produced oil has a larger amount of monounsaturated fatty acids than extra virgin olive oil, which mainly contains oleic acid.
